Sadly, what with all the posing and
oiling of Fruity, I didn't have an opportunity to begin
work on the stick version of him. Also, after getting a
good look at him, I am not convinced that Fruity can be
modeled in 3.25 inch sticks. Hmmm. Maybe I will just add
a silo representing Fruity to my barn model. Yes. That is
what I will do. I had to run out to the grocery
store and get more glue. I went out the back door and
hopped on my Vespa. While at the store, an ebony young
man approached me. I had actually noticed him the second
I walked in and of course I noticed him noticing me. He
introduced himself as Pete and and mentioned that he
hadn't seen me around before. I'll admit I was taken
aback. He seemed very young and very confident. Most
young men I have met (with the exception of Master) would
not be so bold as to approach me directly. I told him my
name and explained that I worked for Master Lex.
"Really?"
he said, eyeing me up and down. "Is it true what
they say about Lex Luthor?"
Now honestly I get
these sorts of questions all the time. People are
naturally curious about my Master (what with him being so
virile and powerful and all). But somehow this young
man's question seemed different. More lascivious. It was
as if he didn't really want to know about Master, just
what I had to say about him. I told him that I didn't
gossip about my Master. He just smiled and offered to
help me carry my groceries to the car. Although I only
had a small bag with super glue, I permitted him to carry
it for me out to the Vespa.
"Hey!"
Pete said. "Nice ride. Can you give me a lift home?
I locked my keys in my car."
Although I
suspected that this wasn't the first time Pete had
'accidentally' locked his keys in the car and been forced
to beg for rides from strange men, I permitted him to get
behind me - on the bike.
"Where do you
live?" I asked.
"Just
drive." Pete said. "I'll show you where."
