Chupa Chups: 10 v. v. Good! Trying desperately to control my sugar intake.
Headlicks: 50 v. v. Good! Am all enraptured with Sneaky.

Sunday rested ate that night at Emerils Delmonico. It's a shame about his show but he really should stick to cooking. Went to Sunday Tea Dance at the Bourbon Pub, right across from the OZ. Almost naked boys dancing on the bar. Been there, done that, filmed the infomercial. Fruity and Sneaky have not however... and decided to dance on the bar. *Quelle surprise*. They made new friends... again, *Quelle surprise*. Still no sign of blonde pretty WhitNips. Am sure he is in a sling somewhere.

Monday aka Lundi Gras: We all went to see the king and queen of Zulu and the king and queen of Argus arrive at the Mardi Gras Museum at noon. . WhitNips showed up after his two day disappearance. He said he was with friends. HA! "Friends at the bathhouse!" Fruity said and we all laughed at WhitNips. He only smiled. I wonder how Fruity knew?

I was right about the sling.

After they all were given the keys to the city, the Zulu led a mini-Mardi Gras parade and second line from Exhibition Hall to LaSalle's Landing at the river. We all joined in of course, waving our hankies in the air like damn fools. I lived here before but this was my first second line. I wasn't missing anything, I'll tell you that!

From there, we all crossed over to downtown New Orleans. We then made our way to the Spanish Plaza near the riverfront. The Mayor, Marc Morial greeted the Zulu and then the Rex royalty and officially proclaim Mardi Gras 2002. I guess the hundred thousand plus people already celebrating were early? I wish I'd been here two weeks ago for the Mardi Gras pet parade Krewe of Barkus. It is always such fun. Sneaky would have loved it I am sure.

The was a huge fireworks show afterward. WhitNips said "Fire pretty." I think he stayed too long in the steam room at the baths. We got to meet the mayor, he was a little fruity himself. I think he knows my old 'friend' Mr Snow.

A big suprise! We not only went to see Orpheus we got to ride on one of the floats! Met Howie Long, much nicer than stick girl he does those commercials with. Sneaky held my hand on the float. For a second I almost forgot about Master.

Ate late dinner at small diner where hamburgers were grilled under a hubcap. It is called the Clover Grill, they used to have the Waitress From Hell working here but he left to bartend somewhere.

Tomorrow at noon we go to St. Ann and Burgundy to see the Bourbon Street awards. All the drag queens will be there, can't wait ! I wonder how many I will know? How many will remember Enrique?

We fly back home to Smallville, the day after. Thank god! A little N'awlins goes a long way. Being here has been nice but has left me melancholy. I remember the summers my twin Esteban and I spent here, on the run from the mob. It all ended so badly, with Esteban and I at each others throats. And not in the fun way either. I look forward to Smallville.
